Our walking city tour with accompanying guide in IEnglish/Italian is a unique opportunity to get to know and fall in love with Zakynthos city, with its secrets and its "effervescent" evening life!
A town with a typically Venetian style, we begin our journey with Piazza Dionisio Solomos, dedicated to the famous Greek poet, composer of the Greek National Anthem (hymn to Freedoms) and contemporary of our Ugo Foscolo whose bronze bust is located not far away; we continue past the Byzantine Museum, a short visit to the ancient church of S. Nicola al Molo, and then Piazza S. Marco with the original paving of the Venetian period, the Catholic church, the shops and shops under the arcades of Via Roma, the Foscolo house/museum, the original bars and cafes, the long port with fishermen's boats and the beautiful Cathedral of San Dionisio (patron saint of the island).
During the tour you will be able to capture the best scenarios and panoramic views for truly characteristic photographs that will be the best memory of your holidays! After walking through history, let's stop for a well-deserved rest. Yamas, cheers with me, with a glass of ouzo and meze, celebrating the rich history and vibrant culture of the island.
At the end of the walk, following our suggestions, it is possible to dine in some original and delicious trattorias in the area.
