Day 1

Breakfast, Dinner

Day 1 - Arrival at Athens airport
Welcoming of the participants and departure towards Nauplio, a picturesque seaside town which was also the first capital of modern Greece when it was liberated from Ottoman occupation on 3 December 1822.
Located at the foot of two fortresses, Palamidi and Acronafplia, it has around 33,000 inhabitants; lively and elegant, Nauplio combines Venetian echoes, oriental suggestions and typically Greek features.

Day 2 – Breakfast and departure for Diakopto Eleonas
Along the way it will be a must to stop at the ancient Theater of Epidaurus, still used today to host theatrical performances, it was built in 350 BC. and can hold up to 15,000 people.
It is considered an acoustic masterpiece and together with the sanctuary dedicated to the God of medicine Asclepius (Aesculapius), since 1988 it has been included in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites. Along the coast of Argolis, stop for lunch (optional, not included) and in the late afternoon arrive in Diakopto, a charming holiday and fishing village on the coast of the Gulf of Corinth.

Day 3

Day 3 – Breakfast and departure for Lepanto
Morning dedicated to a truly unique experience aboard the historic rack railway, inaugurated in 1896, which travels 23km in 60 minutes. between canyons, rivers and forests, immersed in nature in the gorge of the Chelmos - Vouraikos National Park, a protected area since 2009 included in the European “Geopark” program to protect biodiversity. The final station is Kalavryta, a well-known Hellenic ski resort where we will have time to walk among the small shops; free lunch (optional, not included) and at the fixed time we take the train back to Diakopto,
We continue to Lepanto, crossing the Gulf of Corinth, by sea, with a scenic 10-minute crossing on board one of the various ferries, or crossing the famous Poseidon Bridge which, inaugurated in 2004 on the occasion of the Athens Olympics, with its 3km it is considered the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world. At the two ends of the bridge are the Venetian fortifications which were used to control ships in transit and collect duties. A few kilometers and we arrive in Lepanto, a jewel town, scene of the famous naval battle between the Ottoman and Venetian fleets which took place on 7 October 1571.

Day 4 - Breakfast and departure for Delphi
Along the panoramic road that runs along the sea and the Gulf of Corinth we will pass through beautiful coastal villages such as Glyfada, in front of the small island of Trizonia, 2.5 km2 with 64 inhabitants, partly fishermen, far from mass tourism, it is a real jewel hidden place in Greece! And then Galaxidi, a small and charming seaside town of 1,700 inhabitants with a long tradition of shipbuilders, with the traditional Captains' houses and two beautiful churches, Ag. Nikola and Ag.Paraskevi. Along the road, stop for lunch (optional, not included) and then reach the beautiful town of Itea, behind which lies the immense olive grove of Amfissa, from which you can then reach Delphi, the center of the ancient world!

Day 5

Day 5 - Breakfast and departure for Chalkida
After breakfast, in a setting of beauty and majesty, we dedicate ourselves to a guided tour of the archaeological site of Delphi where we find the remains of the Temple dedicated to the Delphic Apollo of Greek mythology and the important museum where the famous bronze charioteer, the statue of Antinous, the sphinx and much more....
starting from Not far from Delphi we will cross Arachova, a characteristic mountain village which is a well-known ski resort at the foot of Mount Parnassus and then descend towards the plains where we find Thiva, the ancient Thebes. Lunch stop (optional, not included) and then we reach Chalkida, the lively capital city of the island of Evia with 110,000 inhabitants which extends between the mainland and the island. A walk along the lively seafront observing the unique phenomenon in the world of the Oedipus Canal, the Karababas Castle, the Red House and the bust of Aristotle who died here in 322 BC. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Breakfast, check-out and departure for Athens airport
After breakfast we will reach Athens International Airport where our tour will end. According to the flight time* we will calculate the time needed to complete the boarding operations with ease.
End of services

  • and possible stops at Marathona / Nea Makri / Cape Sounion
