Day 1

Departure from the Port of Ancona, accommodation in cabins and overnight stay, night sailing.

Arrival at the Port of Igoumenitsa, Ioannina, Metsovo, and Veria.
After disembarking, we head to Lake Ioannina, the splendid capital of Epirus, lapped by the waters of Lake Pamvotis. We then continue to Metsovo, a picturesque mountain town, famous as a ski resort, for its woodcarving, and for the production of red wine at the Averoff winery. Lunch is free. We then reach Veria – Vergina, the first capital of the Macedonian kingdom, where the tomb of King Philip II, father of Alexander the Great, was discovered in 1977. Dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Breakfast and departure for Larissa, along the roads of Mount Olympus along the "Serpentine Road."
We travel along the road that, running along the Aegean Sea, runs at the foot of Mount Olympus, the highest peak in Greece (3,000 meters), the sacred mountain of the Gods, declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1981. Arriving in Leptokarya, we encounter the most iconic road of our tour, the scenic and challenging "Serpentine Road." With an elevation gain of 1,100 meters, 11 km of 38 hairpin bends, we reach Karya, on the slopes of Mount Olympus! Free time for lunch and then continue to Larissa, the capital of Thessaly, where a well-deserved rest awaits! Dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Breakfast and departure for the mysterious island of Evia.
Passing through the plain of Pharsalos and the city of Lamia, we reach Thermopylae, site of the battle of September 480 BC between the Greek cities and the Persians of Xerxes I. A photo of the statue of the Spartan king Leonidas and we arrive at Arkitsa; lunch on your own by the sea. Next, we'll take the 60-minute ferry to Edipsos on the island of Evia, a town that has attracted illustrious visitors for millennia: Aristotle, Sulla, the Roman emperors Hadrian, Marcus Aurelius, Constantine, and more recently Onassis, Callas, Greta Garbo, politicians, shipowners, industrialists, and artists. There are 80 thermal springs of varying temperatures, thanks to which many find relief from chronic ailments in public and private hydrotherapy centers and hotels; seawater or thermal water, mud baths, massages, or simply bathing in the sea where the springs flow into you! Free time, dinner (not included), and overnight stay.

Day 5

Breakfast

Breakfast and departure for the Lichadonissia Islands, an unspoiled, exotic paradise!
We reach Licha, the embarkation point for this uninhabited archipelago of seven beautiful islands with lush vegetation and crystal-clear waters populated by monk seals and sea turtles. We disembark at Manolia, the largest island, with a kiosk and sun loungers on the sandy beach. Enjoy sea, sun, and relaxation in an unforgettable setting! After lunch on your own, we return to land, passing through the village of Orei, to the village of Pefki. Dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Breakfast and departure for Chalkida, the island's lively capital.
Today's route will allow us to appreciate the wild nature of North Evia, passing through quiet villages where time seems to have stood still… Drosini, Elinika, Kerasia, Rovies, Limni, until reaching Prokopi with its Orthodox monastery where the remains of Saint John the Russian are located. He was born in Russia in 1690 and was buried here after his death on May 27, 1730. After lunch, we'll travel through canyons, rivers, and mountains to Chalkida, the island's lively capital with 110,000 inhabitants. A stroll along the lively waterfront will take us past the unique Oedipus Channel, the Karababas Castle, the Red House, and the bust of Aristotle, who died here in 322 BC. Dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Pefki – Drosini – Rovies – Limni – Prokopi – Chalkida

Breakfast and departure for Nafpaktos, passing through Delphi, the center of the ancient world.
Passing through Thiva, ancient Thebes, we reach Arachova and Delphi, the center of the world. An optional visit to this important archaeological site is available, and then we sail along the Gulf of Corinth, passing through the coastal villages of Itea, Galaxidi, and Glyfada, facing the islet of Trizonia. Lunch is free, and then we reach the beautiful Venetian town of Nafpaktos, where the famous battle between the Holy League and the Ottoman Empire took place on October 7, 1571. Free time, dinner (not included), and overnight stay.

Chalkida – Thiva – Delphi – Itea – Galaxidi – Trizonia – Nafpaktos

Breakfast and departure for Preveza along the Ionian Sea.
Accompanied by the view of the spectacular Bridge of Poseidon, we head towards the Messolonghi lagoon with its salt pans and the small island-fortress city of Aitolikio, founded by the Byzantines in 900 and subsequently occupied and embellished for many years by the Venetian Republic, which knew so much about lagoons that it was nicknamed "Little Venice." Next comes the bay of Astakos, surrounded by the 20 islets that form the Echinades archipelago, with the much more famous Itaka visible on the horizon. We arrive at Mytikas, opposite the small islands of Kastos (population 50) and Kalamos (500). Lunch is free, and through the underwater tunnel we reach Preveza, site of the Battle of Actium between Mark Antony and Cleopatra against the Emperor Augustus. Dinner (not included) and overnight stay.

Breakfast and departure for Igoumenitsa
Along the coast of Epirus, endless beaches such as Kanali, Vrachos, Ammoudia, and the enchanting Parga, a Venetian town for almost 400 years, with pastel-colored houses overlooking a crystal-clear sea. Free time for lunch; we skirt the Kalodiki Marshes, an ecosystem with 300 types of aquatic plants, 120 bird species, 20 different mammals, 11 types of reptiles, and 5 species of amphibians, part of the European Natura 2000 project, created to protect important ecological environments. We arrive in Igoumenitsa and have free time on the beautiful beach of Drepano. In the evening, dinner (not included) and then check-in at the port for boarding the ship for Italy.

Day 10

Sailing to Italy and arriving at the port of Ancona where the tour will conclude.

    Mandatory charges to be paid upon confirmation:
