THE STAGES OF OUR ITINERARY:
Igoumenitsa – Ioannina – Metsovo - Meteore – Termopoli – Monte Parnasso Delphi – Atene - Corinto Epidauro – Nauplio – Diakopto – Kalavryta - Rio/Antirio – Mitykas – Lefkada – Igoumenitsa
Day 1
Departure by ship from the port of Ancona according to the confirmed schedule, overnight sailing, and cruise according to the chosen accommodation.
Arrival in Greece the following morning.
Arrival at the port of Igoumenitsa and continuation to Ioannina, the splendid capital of Epirus, lapped by the waters of Lake Pamvotis. We continue to Metsovo, a picturesque mountain town famous for its woodcarving and the production of red wine at the Averoff winery. Lunch is optional, and finally, we reach Kalambaka, a small town nestled below the astonishing Meteora complex. We'll immediately take a panoramic tour of the road above Meteora, stopping for a truly spectacular sunset! Afterwards, check-in at the hotel and overnight stay. Dinner is free.
Arrival in Igoumenitsa – Ioannina – Metsovo – Kalambaka / Meteora

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to admire the Meteora Monasteries, perched atop enormous granite rocks as if suspended in the sky. These unique examples of Byzantine art house fantastic historical and religious treasures. Six monasteries can be visited on site; you can decide which one to visit (optional): Agios Stefanos, Agia Triada, Great Meteoron, Varlaam, Roussanou, and Agios Nikolaos. From Meteora, we continue south with a short detour to the Thermopoli area for a photo at the monument to the Spartan king Leonidas. Lunch is optional, and then we climb the slopes of Mount Parnassus, crossing the pass at 2,000 meters above sea level, before descending to Arachova and finally Delphi, the famous "navel of the world," in time to visit the archaeological site and museum (optional). Afterwards, we arrive at the hotel and spend the night. Free dinner
Meteore Monasteries - Thermopolis – Mount Parnassos – Arachova - Delphi

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Itea, a seaside town. We'll cruise along the Gulf of Corinth to Thebes, followed by Athens, the great metropolis of 5 million inhabitants, the nation's capital, and over 3,000 years of history! We'll leave our motorcycles in the designated garage and check into the hotel. Lunch is optional, followed by a walking city tour of the city, a true open-air museum: the Acropolis, the Parthenon, Hadrian's Library, the Greek and Roman Agora, the Temple of Zeus, Plaka, the city markets, Monastiraki, and many other secrets of this fascinating, vibrant, and vibrant city! Return to the hotel and overnight. Dinner is free.
Delphi – Itea – Thebes – Athens km.190 (h.3:00)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the Corinth Canal, an engineering feat begun in the 1st century AD by Emperor Nero but not completed until 1893. The canal is 6.3 km long and 25 m wide. In the Loutra area, we can stop for an optional lunch and a refreshing swim. We continue to
Epidaurus and its Ancient Theater, still a venue for festivals and classical theater performances. Built in the 4th century BC, it can hold 15,000 spectators and is considered a symbol of perfection for its beauty, perfect symmetry, and acoustics that still amaze today! Our next stop is Nafplio, a picturesque town adorned by the imposing Palamidi Fortress, which served as the first capital of independent Greece from 1829 to 1834. A stroll through the historic center, among fortresses, neoclassical buildings, churches, ancient neighborhoods, and grand squares, is a must. Elegant and stately, Nafplio displays clear traces of its various periods: Byzantine, Frankish, Venetian, and Ottoman. Arrival at the hotel, check-in, and overnight stay. Dinner at leisure.
Athens – Corinth – Loutra – Epidaurus Theater – Nafplio

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the seaside village of Diakopto. A historic rack-and-pinion train, inaugurated in 1896, departs. It travels 23 km in 60 minutes through canyons, rivers, and forests, immersed in the natural beauty of the Chelmos Gorge - Vouraikos National Park, a protected area since 2009 and included in the European Geopark program to protect biodiversity. The final stop is Kalavryta, a renowned Greek ski resort, where we'll have time to stroll among the small shops. Lunch is free, and at the scheduled time, we'll take the train back to Diakopto. Arrival at the hotel, check-in, and overnight stay. Dinner is free.
Nauplio – Xylokastro - Diakopto

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Patras to cross the Poseidon Bridge between Rio and Antirio, inaugurated for the 2004 Olympics. At 3 km, it is the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world! We continue north through typical villages such as Aitoliko, Astakos, and Mytikas. Lunch is free, and along a coastline dotted with crystal-clear bays, we cross a bascule bridge to reach the island of Lefkada. Arrival at the hotel, check-in, and overnight stay. Dinner is free.
Diakopto - Rio/Antirio bridge – Astakos - Mytikas – Lefkada island km. 240(h.4:00)
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by an optional island motorcycle tour or boat excursion to the Ionian Islands. A cruise to the undiscovered islands of Skorpio, Meganissi, Formikula, Kastos, and Kalamos, where time passes slowly and tourism has a very limited impact. During the voyage, there are at least three stops for swimming in remote bays with stunning seas; on the island of Kastos (52 inhabitants and 3 tavernas!), there is an optional lunch stop. Expected return around 5:00 PM, free time, return to the hotel, and overnight stay. Dinner is free.
Lefkada Island Motorcycle Tour or "Small Ionian Islands" Boat Trip km.100 (h.3:00)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure north along the coast, passing Preveza, Kanali, Ammoudia, where the legendary Acheron River flows into the sea, followed by Parga and Sivota. Lunch is free along the way. Finally, we arrive back in Igoumenitsa, where we check in early for boarding (departure is usually scheduled for 11:30 PM) and head to the nearby sandy beach of Drepano for a sunset swim. We return to town for dinner at a typical local taverna (optional), and finally, we head to the port in time for boarding, bidding farewell to Greece with much nostalgia!
