Common description
Kos is an island in the Aegean, belongs to Greece. It is part of the Dodecanese Islands (Southern Sporades in the southeastern Aegean Sea). 4 kilometers east of the island lies the coast of Ionia today, Turkey, the area of the Bodrum resort.
The island is a major tourist destination. The island has many attractions and interesting places, beaches, including black sand beach, entertainment. A large number of restaurants with democratic prices. A large number of economy-class hotels to luxury and prestigious hotels. Due to competition from surrounding Turkey, prices for goods and food on the island are much lower than in other parts of the country.
There is an international airport on the island. Planes fly from Athens daily, there is an air connection with Rhodes.
