Common description
Trizonia is the only inhabited island in the entire Gulf of Corinth, located between mainland Greece and the Peloponnese, the perfect place to relax.
Together with the nearby islets of Prasoudi, Planemi and Agios Ioannis, Trizonia forms a small group of islands with an extension of just 2.5 km2 and 64 inhabitants, almost all families of fishermen.
The origin of the name of the island, which has remained somewhat mysterious, suggests that it derives from a corruption of the term "trionisia", which translates into "three islands", perhaps alluding to the small group of islands.
Very far from mass tourism and practically without cars in circulation, it is a true hidden jewel of Greece, with its hilly landscape covered in vineyards and olive groves, a small village with a few taverns on the port with always fresh fish, only one minimarket, a few villas and three small hotels.
If we combine everything with its small bays with turquoise waters where you can snorkel, swim or relax, Trizonia is the ideal place to come into contact with the true Greek atmosphere........
